Soekarno
Soekarno was born in Surabaya on June 6th 1901, and was given the name Kusno Sosrodihardjo. His Parents renamed him Soekarno after he survived a serious illness. Soekarno is also well-known as the founding Father of Indonesia was the first President known as proclaimer with Dr.Mohammad Hatta
Sukarno’s father was Raden Soekemi Sosrodihardjo and his mother was Ida Ayu Nyoman Rai. Soekarno has 9 wives but Hj.Fatmawati is the most famous than them. From Fatmawati, Soekarno has 5 children namely Guntur Soekarnoputra, Megawati Soekarnoputri, Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, Sukmawati Soekarnoputri and Guruh Soekarnoputra.
He studied at Eerste Inlandse School. Then Soekarno was transferred to the Europeesche Lagere School ( ELS ) to facilitate his acceptance at Hogere Burger School ( HBS ). In 1915, Soekarno completed his education at ELS and Successfully went to HBS in Surabaya. After graduating HBS, he went to Technische Hoogest School (THS). In 1926, He earned an Engineer Degree.
On 17th August 1945 precisely at 10 o’clock on Pengangsaan Timur Street no. 56 , East Jakarta, Soekarno was accompanied by Dr. Mohammad Hatta proclaimed Indonesian Independence. The Proclamation is marked by the reading of the Proclamation Text.
Soekarno died on June 21, 1970 at Army Hospital, Gatot Subroto Street, Jakarta. He died at age of 69 years. He buried in Blitar East Java.
